Online Shopping Blues

Why does shipping costs so much?

It's great that there is this store that computes customs duties and taxes ahead of time so that there will be no extra charges when the merchandise arrives. There will be no delays in the delivery if the online store would quote your taxes and charges ahead of time. This also means that there will be no surprise additional costs and that your purchases would be delivered to your doorstep free from any encumbrances.

I hope that all online stores would be like this one. Giving us a quote on how much customs duties and taxes would give us an idea if we would go on with our purchase or not. There would be so much hassle if you'll be surprised to see that you can no longer afford to pay the taxes or if it would be very impractical to buy the small item with high tax dues.

Out of Stock

What if the specific style that you want is out of stock?

That is one of the biggest questions that must be answered in dealing with online orders. Sometimes, a certain style is in stock by the time you make your order but becomes rapidly out of stock by the time the merchandiser prepares your order. How will you deal with this?

Some merchandisers offer their customers with options. In wholesale-dress.net, before finalizing your payment, you can choose either of the three options in the event that a certain order goes out of stock:
  1. Deal with the order according to the actual situation
  2. Replacement
  3. Send out other items directly
I chose the first option when I made an order at wholesale-dress.net. When I received a message that two of my orders are out of stock, I immediately visited their website to look for other styles that might interest me to replace the unavailable stocks. It was actually good that wholesale-dress.net sends me a message to my email directly and informs me of the status of my orders.

What are your experiences in online shopping?

Shopping Fever

A girl, as a girl, would naturally be into shopping. Be it shopping in the mall or merely browsing a catalogue of top-selling brands, shopping is a girl’s life. But there’s a big difference in personal buying by just merely ordering through brochures. The following are the high points and low points of each:

1. Catalogue shopping gives the buyers the best view for their products. By employing professionals to model their clothes, they can give the customers the most attractive look of the products. The best example of this would be for lingerie. Any girl won’t deny that they would most likely buy the type of lingerie fitted on a model’s sexy body. Customers are inspired to see these models in seducing buyers to purchase the product. Compared to lingerie displayed in racks, the catalogue showcases the potentials of wearing the products rather than just being hanged.
2. Product displays are best for bragging high-quality materials used because buyers can actually see, feel, and fit the real thing. You can’t do that in a catalogue because you would just be limited to words and buyers right now are very cautious about the sellers’ talk and advertisements. Giving them the feel of the real thing is concrete and much better than just playing with their imagination.
3. Companies can give detailed information on the their products through the catalogues and these information are really helpful for buyers.
4. Catalogues are for anybody’s convenience. You don’t have to go out to shop, you only need to flip a few pages, dial to order, and your goods will be delivered right at your doorstep. But the downside is you won’t be able to fir it until it arrives.
5. Going to the mall and sashaying along its alleys would burn a few extra pounds and would certainly be a very good way to relieve stress (you can’t have that by merely flipping pages).

Any way you wanna go, be it through catalogues or going out into the bigger and wilder shopping destinations, it’s for every girl to enjoy her shopping experience. Just don’t forget to keep it within your budget!

Eternally Young

"Latest craze" may not be the appropriate term to describe it because blue jeans and denims have been in the world of fashion since its introduction to the market. It has become the "staple" attire of every human being and though it has been primarily produced for men, it has now become an epidemic that is visible to have dramatically taken the wardrobe scene of boys and girls, men and women, of all races in this modern world.

It's confusing to know the origin of denims and jeans. The denim is believed to be one of the oldest fabrics that came from France, "serge de nimes." But there is also one fabric named "Nim," made partly of wool, which is believed to be also from France produced in the 17th century. While "serge de nimes" is made of silk and wool, and "nim" is made partly of wool, "denim" is a cotton fabric.

Jeans, which was originally composed of cotton, linen, and wool to make that durable fabric, came from Genoa, Italy. It was largely produced in Lancashire by 16th century. But during the 18th century, jean was now made solely of cotton and was used to make men's clothing.

The main difference between jeans and denims is that jean is made of two threads with the same color while denim is made of two threads of different colors (but one thread should always be white).

Jeans and Denims have matured through the years. Giant companies like Levi's, Rough Rider Jeans, Lee, Bobson, and the like have taken steps to improve the style and comfort of jeans and denims. To be competent enough, these companies have made sure that they are a cut (or style) above the rest.

BOHO MADNESS

Bohemian apparels are the latest craze in fashion today. International television personalities clad in this chic attire are not an unusual sight. Think of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, the model/actress twins who also thrive in the entrepreneurial scheme.

For those who don’t know yet, Bohemia is place in Czechoslovakia. But in the world of fashion, Bohemian (boho for short), is not attached to a certain look coming from that region. At the beginning of bohemianism culture, dressing was an important factor in distinguishing the artists and writers from the bourgeois. Boho is used to describe someone who is unconventional and lives in an unconformist way.

Inspired by the 1970’s look, ruffles and light lacey skirts are back. Still maintaining its ethnic touch, but now with modernized accents of brooches and beads, it has also went beyond the earthly colors of chocolate and teal. Natural materials like linen, gauzy cotton, lace, silk, and chiffon make up this layering trend. Accessories made from wood, stone, leather and the like complete the look.

The boho skirt may be the hottest selling fashion today, but this does not limit your choices. If you’re not into the skirt drama, why not give your old denims the new look? Pair it up with long-flowing or crinkled tops, embroidered blouses, or Indian-inspired prints. And don’t forget to accessorize with bangles, layered necklaces and vintage belts to give your outfit a hint of the bohemian chic.

True, bohemian garbs are not conventional, but nonetheless, it has been widely accepted by this generation. It can be worn in more ways than one and mixing and matching these clothes is a great adventure. Variety is the key. Boredom is not in the realm of the boho madness. You can choose to be conservative, loud, or even outlandish. You can never run out of style.

Dressing up is a pleasure for girls. But what’s more special about boho is that it establishes individuality. The outfit speaks for the person, very much different and apart from the plain and dull jeans and shirts. It’s more of a relax and feel-good apparel. The mix of clothes you choose is like a creation, and somehow, it is a great confidence-booster. It’s jam-packed with style without ever sacrificing comfort.

Let’s face it, bohemian fashion has invaded earth and the minds of every individual. Call it a fashion pandemonium, it’s for the free-spirited, independent-minded, and it’s for every creative individual. So get out of your traditional plain-face look. Get the right pieces and work them all together to give you that classy Boho flair. Don’t be afraid to let your clothing show who you really are.
